Internet Gaming CEO Free on $50,000 Bail
Submitted on Tue, 2006-09-12 09:16Peter Dicks, CEO of the online gaming organization Sportingbet PLC arrested recently at New York's JFK airport, has been released on $50,000 bail. Mr. Dicks was detained following his flight from London, where he resides.

During a standard name check, customs officials noticed that Mr. Dicks, 64, had an outstanding warrant issued by Louisiana state police gambling enforcement officials.
Dicks is the second English online sports-betting official to be detained by US authorities. David Carruthers, former BetOnSports CEO, was arrested in July.
