Crazy21 Blackjack Game Released Before Movie
Not much of a blackjack player? You might answer differently in a few weeks. Online game software provider Entertasia has just released the new "Crazy21" card game, a unique spin on blackjack . The game, hot off the proverbial presses, comes before the release of "21", the long-anticipated blackjack movie from Columbia Pictures.
"21" is based on the huge best-selling book "Bringing Down the House" by Ben Mizrich. The book, based on a true story, takes an up-close-and-personal look at a group of MIT students who take Vegas by storm for millions of dollars in blackjack winnings. Coached by a card-counting and mathematics guru (played by Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey in "21"), the students use a system of sophisticated team card-counting which proves to be extremely difficult to detect by the casino security.
Crazy21 works the same as classic blackjack with a few additional side bets. The Safe Bet allows you to win with an initial low hand. The Highest Hand Bet can pay for players gambling with multiple hands. The 777 Jackpot Bet pays in the highly unlikely event that a bettor is dealt three consecutive 7s.
If history repeats itself, online blackjack will follow the same trail blazed by poker after the movie "Rounders" hit it big just ten years ago. If this proves to be the case, Crazy21 seems like a great place to let the betting begin.
