Gambler's Obligations
In essence, the player is expected to identify himself/herself truthfully, consent not to cheat, abide by the casino's expressed policies as posted in their Terms & Conditions section, plus follow the procedural guidelines when cashing in winnings.
It's also important to note that when accepting an online casino's bonus, you could be required to continue visiting that casino for a certain period of time. The extent to which one must commit will generally depend on the size of the bonus. Also, before a player even qualifies to receive a bonus they may be obligated to bet a certain amount of money.
This is what's known as a "wager through requirement." This minimum amount of cash one is expected to wager is usually a multiple of a player's initial deposit. Or it could be the equivalent of a straight bonus awarded. In some instances it's the total of both these amounts. Players may be obligated to bet a minimum of anything ranging from twice to twenty times the amount of their initial deposit.
Basically, the larger the bonus, the larger the "wager through" required. But as usual, there are many variations. Therefore, before you put your cash down, make sure you carefully review an online casino's policies vis-à-vis "wager through" requirements. These are generally published in an online casino's Terms & Conditions section.
