Submitted on Tue, 2010-01-19 08:03Playtech has just formed an agreement with SEGA Games Limited to provide casino and poker products to the new gambling platforms that SEGA is planning to launch. Playtech will help SEGA to improve its product offering, as well as making sure the gaming experience is fun, safe, and secure. Playtech software runs many popular casinos, such as Europa Casino.
SEGA is planning to launch a full suite of games on the SEGAPoker.com and SEGACasino.com domains. This product offering is almost certain to include titles based on a number of the hit games to come out of the SEGA workshop over the years, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Virtua Fighter, and more.
A spokesman for SEGA said that Playtech is the “industry leader in online gaming software,” adding that it was “the obvious choice for SEGA Games Limited and we are very excited to have them as a partner.” The CEO of Playtech, Mor Weizer, called SEGA “one of the most highly respected brands in gaming today,” adding that Playtech was “ecstatic” at having reached the agreement.
Having already made a deal with CTXM to provide it with casino games, this latest deal for SEGA will put the company in a great position to make a real impact on the world on online gambling. The company’s experience in providing excellent games, along with this deal with Playtech, will mean that it is perfectly positioned to enter into the highly competitive market.
